Our data
Real feed, real cadence, numbers you can check.
This page explains exactly where RFPhound's data comes from, how it is cleaned, and when it refreshes. No invented coverage, no stale listings resold as fresh.

Where the data comes from
Today, every federal contract opportunity posted to SAM.gov, covering all 50 states plus DC, filtered into 15 service categories, plus a curated pipeline of agency and private-sector RFPs. State eProcurement portals and the platform aggregators that host thousands of local agencies are being added weekly.
We publish coverage honestly. If a source is not live in the feed, we do not claim it. The current state of coverage is always listed on the homepage coverage section and the live counts on the open RFPs hub.
Refresh cadence: every day, 6:30am ET
The full pipeline runs every morning at 6:30am Eastern: scan, normalize, dedupe, summarize, score, deliver. Subscriber digests land by 7am. The public counts on this site rebuild from the same run, so every number you see here traces to a real pipeline execution, never an estimate.
Last refresh: June 10, 2026.
Normalization and deduplication
Procurement portals are messy: the same RFP appears on multiple portals, titles arrive in all caps with solicitation codes glued on, agency names come in a dozen formats. Every posting becomes one clean record with issuer, jurisdiction, category, posted date, due date, and estimated value where stated. Duplicates collapse to a single entry. Titles are cleaned for reading without changing their meaning.
What subscribers get
The raw feed is the floor. Subscribers get the morning brief: matched RFPs with plain-English AI summaries, a fit score against their profile (services, states, typical contract size), direct source links for every entry, deadline reminders, and amendment alerts when an agency moves a date. Pack plans add API and webhook access to the normalized feed.
The free public pages show live counts and samples with source links held back. That is the honest trade: the numbers prove the feed is real, the links are what you pay for.
The fine print, plainly
- Open count today: 5,339. Posted in the last day: 669. Closing this week: 2,183.
- The annual federal contract market exceeds $700B per USAspending.gov. We watch it daily; we do not claim credit for it.
- We make no client-results claims anywhere on this site. When we publish a number, it comes from the live feed or the public record, and you can check it.
